My experience over at David's shop went quite poorly. I brought my 2008 C6 Corvette. I bought to David to get some work done from another shop because that mechanic told me he had an emergency that he couldn't work on the car. And basically, I took my car to David's shop to get my slave cylinder and my master cylinder replaced. That was the diagnosis from the prior shop. When I dropped my car off to David, I told him, the whole situation, this is what the other mechanic thought it was, but I said specifically to drive the car yourself to confirm and diagnose that that is what the exact issue happened to be. Long story short, David never test drove the car. He ended up doing the work, which was very expensive, $950 of labor, plus another $500, $600 in parts. So yes, once he did the work. He calls me to let me know the car is done , he drove the car. He said the car shifts through all the gears fine. I said, well, did you drive the car prior to that is it still doing the issue i described to you and he said he didnt drive it before so he cant tell? How would you know what to fix if you didn't know or what it felt like beforehand if you never drove the car? Long story short, my car is still doing the same exact issue. it took for me to come all the bsck to take david & his menchanic for a drive for them to say, oh, it's something to do with the master cylinder. I left my car there the next day. I came back. Car is still doing the same thing. actually ended up being clutch. ( which he said looked fine to them when they inspected it...& was wrong again.. poor business transaction. I told him that I felt like, you know, the fact that he did not diagnose it properly, I got ripped off. And I said, I want come back to get the clutch done with them if they were to give me a fair price considering that they didn't diagnose it properly the first time. But of course, I gave him a few days to think about that and he still wanted to charge me perhaps more now than the first job, which is still the exact same labor. Another shop quoted me less than what he quoted me lol. So long story short, they wanted to charge me $1300 to now do the job that they didn't do the first time correctly. Very, very, very poor satisfaction here. I wouldn't recommend them.
