Kylah offers a very comfortable environment which is important for nervous people like myself. She was able to plan out our goals, was very flexible with listening to bands I wanted to sing along with for practice, and described how the body is effected when you sing a certain way or how your voice will sound when you do certain things to your body. That extra knowledge is vital if you want to learn to stay healthy and perform strong. Overall, the lesson went very well and we plan to meet again a week from now. Thanks Kylah!
Beautiful soul. I'm so glad to see someone LIVING yoga and not only hopping on the mat to DO yoga.
I requested Matthew Ian's services for my corporate finance companies first SXSW event. Because it was my first time running this type of large scale event I wanted to fully entrust the music/entertainment to someone who could take it and run with it. Matthew Ian completely took everything off of my plate by visiting the venue beforehand to scope out the set up, connecting with the venue's planner without evolving me and working everything out in a timely manner. From the get go I knew I could trust him 100% to pull the gig off. And that he did! Matthew Ian provided 8 hours of phenomenal entertainment whether it was DJ-ing, a small acoustic set or live DJ mixing with an electric violinist. INCREDIBLE! He even problem solved when rain rolled in and kept the music going. He set the party tone for the entire venue. I would highly recommend his services!
I took guitar lessons with Tim a couple years ago before he moved away. I knew his skill and talent from his previous work in bands and it was a no-brainer for me to go to him. His ability to assess where you are at as a student and apply the proper curriculum to help advance you in your craft is what you would expect from a quality teacher such as Tim. If you're looking to open your creativity, you can't go wrong seeking guidance with him. He's got my recommendation 🖒👍
We had a great experience working with Live Oak Trio! They made made our special day complete. I couldn't imagine walking down the aisle without their beautiful interpretation of the songs we so carefully put together for our wedding. Truly talented professionals!
I've worked with Ed on and off over the last few years. As a player, he is a total pro, able to deliver at a high level across many styles. What I really love about playing with Ed is that he is also a great person - always a positive attitude, punctual and prepared. Ed is my first call when I need a drummer, for both live and studio work. He has also given some drum lessons to my son, providing not just style and technique, but also some great philosophy and guidance about music in general.
Matt handled sound for our wedding and worked with the band we booked to make the whole thing smooth.
Loved them! I was hesitant to use a full band or a DJ but "Chido Machine" was like both in one. He did a DJ set with live drums, it was all that we needed to have a great time with a wide variety of genres but a live music vibe!
Mr. Del Bosque was a very good teacher for the three years I had him as my private lessons teacher. He will teach you all you need to know to be a successful saxophonist. He will teach you the fundementals like scales, tonal excerises, arpeggios, etc. When I was in middle school, I made the TMEA All Region Band with his critique and help. But I feel that Mr. Del Bosque could've taught at a faster pace because the pace felt slow to me, but that's just my preference. It really depends on the person. Overall, Mr. Del Bosque was a great teacher and will be perfect for anyone who's looking to start to play the saxophone or already has been playing, but is looking for professional help.
We can only rave at how great this little band was at my daughter's wedding last May in Austin. David does a great job of communicating and was very flexible with a number of special requests which helped to make it such a great day. They came early, and stayed late, even helping us to pick up afterwards. The music is very precise and FUN!!! Steel Betty played quiet prayerful tunes during the ceremony, and gradually amped up the energy as the festivities followed. Highly recommended! Stephen N.
They were absolutely incredible!!! They played at our daughter's wedding reception and it was nothing short of AMAZING! The place was on fire with their excellent, high energy music! I've had so many people tell me it was the best wedding reception they've ever been to because of this fun band!!
AJC Jazz is a great for events in which you want to add some ambiance, but you don't expect the music to be the life of the party. I booked AJC for a corporate reception and they were a great fit! NOTE: They communicated extremely well, were punctual, easy to work with and a GREAT addition to this fun event.
I'm Sherah, the writer and lead singer for The Fine Souls. My smokey, jazz-inflected vocal croons against a backdrop of guitar, upright bass and jazz drum kit. I specialize in writing beautiful, danceable love songs, and I write from a wide range of Roots genres: folk, vocal and Louisiana jazz, blues, soul, pop and early R&B, so the music never gets boring or repetitious. My melodies are memorable, and the lyrics are vivid, poetic, and romantic, reflecting all the various moods of love. I've even written a song about a couple who's watching the sunset, enjoying the memories of their wedding earlier in the day! We play primarily our own love songs, but we will also learn and play up to 8 of your choice of cover songs, especially if you have particular songs in mind for the first dance, the garter and bouquet toss, or other special moments. Bonus item: For an additional fee, I will write a song for you that's based on your personal love story, and we will record it as a single to give to your guests. We'll also perform this song as the first dance! My musicians are among the very best that Austin has to offer, and we have been or are currently a part of other touring bands. We have performed at various wine bars, coffee shops and restaurants around town, as well as at the Hyatt, the Austin airport on the Ray Benson Stage, and at the Continental Club Gallery. Please visit my Facebook page Sherah & The Fine Souls to see what we're up to!
Their music is innovative with creative themes and enchanting harmonies. It is easy to get drawn in to the songs through their stage presence and personalities. They are also very professional and follow through with what is needed to give a great performance.
