Taylor Marketing & Design

Introduction: Taylor Marketing & Design was founded by Melissa Taylor. She runs the whole shebang on her own, but occasionally also works with some of her fellow graphic designers and code monkeys on various projects. Melissa was born in East Texas, but grew up in the historic town of Gonzales, Texas known for their infamous slogan, “Come and take it!”, and is proud of the town’s Texas history. When not working on her projects or being active in community organizations, she devotes her time to her family. Melissa became a full-time freelance graphic designer and marketing professional in 2012, helping businesses with their web design, print design, corporate identity, social media, and marketing needs. Her experience goes back 19 years when she first started designing page layouts, typesetting, and composing ads. She later studied Communication Design and Art History at Texas State University and spent 9 years in the marketing field working as a marketing assistant and Marketing director for a large account marketing brand names, such as Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, Einstein Bagel Bros, Stubb’s BBQ, Panda Express, as well as marketing for a restaurant and catering. She also spent a year as an advertising director for a local newspaper. Melissa has extensive knowledge in both marketing and design including corporate identity, branding, illustration, market research, strategic marketing, web design, print design, social media, blogging, development and design of marketing collateral and promotion creation and implementation. Being an avid reader she is also currently studying book design layout for both print and ebooks and hopes to offer this service soon as well as book cover design.
