- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Transparent Labor Rates All labor is billed in 15-minute increments, so you only pay for the time we’re on the job. Flat-Rate Service Items Common tasks (e.g. wall-fish cable runs, thermostat installs, patch-panel setups) are priced per item or per foot. We’ll provide you with a clear, itemized quote before work begins, showing each flat-rate service alongside any hourly labor. Trip Charge & Travel Fees No trip fee within a 15-mile radius of Granbury (Zip 76048). Outside our 15-mile service area: $75 trip charge (one-way). This is included in the price if you decide to hire us. Materials & Parts Material costs are billed at our cost, with no markup on standard consumables (cable, connectors, etc.). For specialty or custom parts, we’ll get your approval on any markup before ordering. Sales Tax Standard Texas sales tax of 8.25% applies to labor, parts, and flat-rate items (where required by law). Payment Terms & Fees We accept cash, credit/debit, and ACH. Invoices are due upon receipt. A 1.5% late fee may be applied to balances over 30 days past due. Discounts & Promotions Veteran & Senior Discount: 10% off labor for active / retired military and customers 65+. Referral Credit: $50 credit on your next service for each new customer you refer who books a job. Volume Discount: For projects over 20 hours of labor, ask about tiered labor-rate reductions. No Hidden Fees What we quote is what you pay. Any potential additional charges (e.g., permits, specialized equipment rentals) will be clearly disclosed and approved before we proceed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Inquiry & Discovery You reach out via phone, email, website form, or Thumbtack. We ask a few basic questions about your project scope, timeline, and location. Preliminary Consultation We hop on a quick call (10–15 min) to clarify your needs, answer any questions about services, and determine whether an on-site visit is required for an accurate quote. On-Site Assessment (if needed) For jobs that need precise measurements or hands-on inspection, we schedule a convenient time (no trip charge within 15 mi; $50 beyond). Our technician surveys the site, takes photos/measurements, and discusses placement, cable runs, or repair details. Detailed Proposal & Quote Within 24 hours (often same day), we send you an itemized estimate: Labor hours (estimated, by 15-min increments at $125–$150/hr) Flat-rate items (per foot or per install) Materials (at cost) Trip fees, tax, and any permit or rental disclosures We also outline available discounts (veteran/senior, referrals, volume). Approval & Scheduling You review and approve the quote via email or e-signature. We lock in your preferred date/time and send a confirmation with arrival window. Job Preparation We pre-order any custom parts, lay out required tools, and bundle materials so we arrive ready to work. Service Execution Our technician arrives on time, in branded vehicle, walks you through the plan, then performs the work. We keep you updated on progress and any unforeseen issues. Quality Check & Walkthrough Upon completion, we demo the system or repair, test every component, and show you how to operate or maintain it. You inspect and sign off on the work. Invoicing & Payment We issue an invoice that clearly separates labor, flat-rate items, materials, fees, and tax. Payment is due upon receipt; we accept cash, card, or ACH. Post-Service Follow-Up We send a thank-you email with a customer satisfaction survey. Our referral credit applies once your friend books. If any issues arise, just call—we’ll address tweaks or questions at no extra charge (within a 30-day warranty period on labor).
