FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is a difficult issue when it comes to legal services. There are two schools of thought on this: Flat, fixed fees that are due at the outset of the representation and cover a very specific range of services. The alternative are hourly billings, which allow for fluctuations of time and complexity of legal matters, but do not offer any certainty to clients. I strive to be accommodating to clients needs, and offer a choice between the two billing methods so clients can feel like they are getting their money's worth.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Potential clients are encouraged to contact me and explain their problem or legal question. I understand that many times people looking for attorney's may only have simple questions that can be easily answered. Other times, answers to questions can be anything but simple. This is where our initial conversation comes in. I can help you determine if you have a legitimate legal issue, or whether your issue can be addressed without the need to hire an attorney. Either way, step one in the process is communicating and creating a guide to help you through the legal system.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
