Introduction: I teach piano, and I especially enjoy teaching adults. I specialize in teaching people how to play, what they want to play. That is, I do not insist that every person become a classical pianist. I teach people how to play for their own enjoyment, church, etc.
My goal is to teach people how to let the music locked inside them get out.
This does not mean that I skip the basics. I am a firm believer in teaching theory and technique.
I usually have a recital in the spring to give my students the opportunity to perform in public, though participation is optional.
I also teach beginner voice lessons. I deal with proper breathing, enunciation, and pitch.
Recently, I began making soundtracks as well.
