Maurino offer the purest form of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He teaches the self defense aspect of Jiu-Jitsu and the sport side of Jiu-Jitsu so you get the best of both world. I also had the privilege to meet and learn from his instructor Royler Gracie at a seminar. Royler had nothing but great things to say about Maurino. This experience ensured me that I'm learning Jiu-Jitsu straight from the source.
I have been to three different Jiu-Jitsu schools and Maurino's teaching is most thorough. Many instructors teaches the idea of living the Jiu-Jitsu life style but most of them don't follow their own teaching. However, Maurino practice what he preach.
I have learned so much from the one year I have been training with Maurino. My ground game have gotten much better and I'm more aware of what's going on now than ever before. Also, he had helped me sharpen my self defense techniques and I'm more confident in my ability to defend myself.

I had a short experience with Maurino but during that experience it was very very good. Maurino teaches authentic jiujitsu just how the Gracies taught it in Brazil as he is still one of their students for many years in Brazil at the original Gracie Academy . Maurino teaches to where anyone can comprehend . He can be very technical with the more advanced students and be very understanding and comprehending when teaching with the more newer students.
The instruction is priceless, for the "real" art which is extremely hard to find these days.

I was introduced to Maurino Loureiro through a friend I had trained with in the past. I decided to train with him because of his jiujitsu lineage. Maurino received his black belt from Royler Gracie of the legendary Gracie family. I've been with Maurino for over a year now and feel like I'm learning jiujitsu at a faster rate than I ever have before. More recently, my wife has decided to begin training with Maurino for the self-defense aspect of the martial art. She's now on her third month of training and has become more confident in her ability to protect herself. We are lucky to have met Maurino.

Loureiro Jiu-Jitsu is an excellent school that teaches the world famous Gracie method. My son and I both attend to Maurino's classes and enjoy every single one. Maurino clearly explains and demonstrates every move with detail and alway stresses saftey. He is a great instructor that cares about every student and will help you learn and improve at your pace.
