Hi! My name is Pennie Mahon, thank you for inquiring about getting your dog trained with Barks 5th Avenue- Barkology Dog Training. With over three decades experience serving the public and perfecting my trade in the dog training industry I can offer a wide variety solutions to most common behavioral issues. In addition I’ve also enjoyed much success with my personal dogs showing and competing in multiple sports such as Disc and Dock Diving winning State National and World championship titles. Through all this experience I have discovered that an individual approach to each dog, combined with owner education, is the key to success. Pennie is ah-mazing! I can’t say enough about her proven methods. My Mexican Frenchie was a bit stubborn but she was able to earn her trust to turn her into the well-behaved trained dog that I needed her to be. Pennie also boards with refresher or training classes while being boarded, and Pucci (my sweet baby) will not go with any other boarding place if I ever need her boarded. Kudos to Pennie for using her 30+ years of experience to do such a fantastic job with my dogs and truly upholding the standards of dog training.

Penny is absolutely amazing and a life saver! We are new fur parents and we got our forever fur baby who was just a puppy! We were so worried of how to do everything but Penny made us feel good and happy after giving us all the training tips and strategies needed in raising a pup! I’m sure our golden retriever felt glad Penny showed us how to take care of him. We love him so much and I would say so far so good with Penny’s help!

Pennie is terrific. She took the time initially to get to know us, the pet parents, as to what we are dealing with in trying to train our fur baby. She then listened to Ella and learned her temperament. Pennie went through step by step every aspect of training from house breaking to basic commands giving us tips as well as techniques that will last forever. It was one of our best investments and we were all, including Ella, big fans. Great experience! Thanks Pennie!

I would have loved to have added all five of the choices but was only able to pick three. Trainer Penny was very informative when I called about taking my dachshund puppy for three weeks training. Immediately she set me at ease about her abilities to handle my very stubborn puppy. Penny came to my house to pick up my puppy and to see the environment my dog will be living in. We talked and she explained what and how she would be working on and if I had anything else I needed. Penny sent pictures and updates on the progress of Sailors abilities. I was so excited when she brought her home to me. It was truly unbelievable what she got accomplished in three weeks. We went over everything Sailor was taught and how to keep up with what she has learned. Penny has trained dogs for 40 yrs. my dog came home behaving perfectly and she is only 6 months old. The icing on the cake are the movies and the still pictures she sent to us. Penny is a true dog whisper and Artist. I believe that anyone that brings their dog to her will be very happy!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Training package is all inclusive, 3 weeks training & boarding , the initial in home consult and then two training classes at your home with your dog once the three weeks is completed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial phone consult to determine needs and explore solutions, then we schedule a in home consultation so I can observe the dynamics of your relationship with your dog and evaluate the negative behaviors you wish to change, then enrollment into the 21 day board and train program, when completed I deliver the dog back home to you along with a two hour transitional training session for you and your family so that you can learn what your dog has accomplished and how to get your dog to respond to you like it does the trainer. You will then have one more follow up in home training session to be used when you would like at your discretion.
