Introduction: I love analysis --– the IT and internal auditor/cost analyst parts of my job both allow me to pour over data (what is) and see patterns and opportunities for improvement (what can/should be). I don't think there'’s anything more satisfying than solving the puzzle and then using the solution to increase efficiency. That has to be the most boring thing anyone has ever typed,– but someone has apply the logic so the creative types can do what they do and bring in the customers and their business. And although you didn't ask what I hate about my job is troubleshooting user problems. I don'’t love the mini-fire drills every day or hand-holding. I'm really not great at hand-holding. Nothing is perfect, though, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
