And last, but not least... capable of doing a multifaceted, significantly demanding project with confidence. I am a real estate investor and have seen many plumbing projects like this, so I know when pricing is unreasonably inflated. Texas James Plumbing originally quoted me $840 for a minor leak that only required PEX crimping - a job that shouldn’t cost anywhere near that. When I called out the outrageous price, they dropped it to $420, more than a 50% reduction, without any real justification. I addressed the issue with the office to be helpful and Christy, the owner’s wife, dismissed my concerns with spiteful remarks rather than questioning why their plumber dramatically changed the price. She mentioned her husband but didn’t acknowledge the blatant pricing manipulation happening under their business. In the end, I had the issue fixed for just $97 elsewhere. It’s clear that this company is out to scam innocent people who may not know better. If you care about fair pricing and transparency, I would strongly advise against using this company.

Hi Daniel. We are very sorry you feel this way after receiving a free quote by one of our licensed plumbers. The timeline of events don’t exactly match to what your describing but that is neither here or there. We were transparent with our pricing and our plumber originally quoted $840 over the phone as the worst case scenario but while on site was able to see he did not need to do any additional work. You declined the updated estimate with our licensed plumber as you had already picked a handyman to do your work for you instead. Our prices reflect knowledge only a licensed plumber can give, travel time, insurance, materials, etc. We offer free estimates Monday-Friday so our customers are more than welcome to go with a different company/unlicensed handyman if they do not agree with our pricing. Additionally, we have reviewed your correspondence with Mrs. Lane and have found no evidence of spite. As she has stated in your email correspondence, this is a closed issue and we once again hope you have a great weekend.
