To help students enjoy music making while becoming their best musical selves is my purpose as a teacher. Each student has a unique learning style, thus my teaching approach is flexible, adapted to meet their individual needs and goals while fostering a commitment to excellence.
Whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner, successful instruction requires enthusiasm, kindness, patience, and the necessary feedback so that students are well aware of the learning stage they’re experiencing at any given time. That’s the core of my teaching philosophy.
As I count with more than ten years of international experience both as a performer and teacher in all levels of education, I confidently guide my students to succeed in the pursuit of their goals while enjoying the process.

Dr. Schrubski has been my son's piano teacher for seven months so far and he has learned so much and grown confident. He had not played piano at all before signing up but plays beautifully now. She has also been very understanding and accommodating when coordinating the lesson schedule as well as when something unexpected comes up. She always tries her best to make sure my son can reach his lesson goals and that he leaves each lesson with more skill and knowledge than when we arrived as well as staying on schedule for learning milestones. Lastly, she has been exceptional at communicating and transparency and very easy to talk to about costs, lessons, schedules, changes, and performance information.

I worked with Ms. Ayala in Argentina. She was an excellent colleague, with a consistent pedagogical and technical approach. But her most important quality, for me, is her deep sensitivity and interest to the human process of teaching and learning music. I highly recommend her classes.

I am delighted to write on behalf of Ms. Sara Ayala. Ms. Ayala served most admirably as my graduate teaching assistant for the past 3.5 years in my Music in Western Civilization course. She is absolutely one of the top assistants I have had the pleasure of working with in my many years of teaching.
Sara is a highly intelligent and talented musician with a strong work ethic. She possesses a professional and kind demeanor toward students, colleagues, and faculty alike.
As a musician, Sara is a wonderfully sensitive and musical pianist, and is currently working toward her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance. As an international student from Argentina, she has adapted beautifully to all cultural differences, and her English and communication skills are superb; she is much beloved and respected by faculty and her student colleagues. I have confidence that her piano teaching skills are every bit as excellent as her wonderful public doctoral lecture recitals.
In her role as teaching assistant in charge of all Blackboard matters and classroom technology, Sara was highly responsible, proactive, and communicated well with students. Her work on my behalf has made it possible for me to teach more effectively. She also graciously served as guest lecturer when I was away at conferences.

I’m a doctor in piano pedagogy and I have a masters degree in piano performance. I count with 20 years of international piano teaching experience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I recommend to look for a teacher that have enough experience plus a flexible approach to meet the expectations of the students.
I also recommend to ask for an interview - face- to- face or video call to see how the chemistry works. Always trust yourself and your instincts and you’ll find the best teacher!
