I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel I have to because this honestly seemed like a standard practice for Daniel.
We had been communicating for over a week and had already agreed on everything, including several inconvenient conditions on my side. I was the one who had to transport the chair myself to a specific location and adjust to his availability on a weekend. I did all of that, only to be told 30 minutes before our meeting that I had to make a 50% deposit. I was honestly shocked that something this important was brought up at the very last minute after everything had supposedly already been agreed upon.
Then, during the meeting, I found out for the first time that reupholstering my chair would take more than three weeks because he had other projects ahead of mine. This was also never mentioned in advance.
Another thing that really concerned me was transportation. He arrived in a pickup truck with an open bed, and I was genuinely surprised to see furniture being handled that way. I would never want my fabric chair transported in an open truck bed. From his messages, it also sounded like he had several other appointments planned afterward, meaning the chair would likely continue traveling around uncovered in the back of the truck.
At that point, I decided not to move forward with Daniel. In the end, I lost half a day transporting the chair to a location that was convenient for him, only to learn important details at the very last moment.
