About
I bring a true love of sewing and years of hands-on experience in the sewing and upholstery world. After serving as a C-130 aircraft mechanic, I interned with a professional upholstery shop, where I discovered my calling. Today, I focus on high-quality furniture repair and sewing services.
I repair and assemble furniture, including recliner motors and broken frames, and can complete most repairs right in your home. I also offer sewing lessons, sharing the skills I’ve developed over the years with patience and care.
I’ve proudly been in business for myself for 8 years, and it has been incredible. If you’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented work from someone who truly cares about the outcome, I’d be honored to help. Reach out to discuss your project or schedule a repair.

My first time using Thumbtack and it was perfect in every way. I was in need of a motor replacement on my reclining sofa and the work done by Sweet Finds At My Place Traveling Upholstery went above my expectations. They were punctual, professional, and fair priced. I highly recommend using them and I will be a return customer.

My husband and I needed pull cords replaced in our recliners. We couldn’t figure out how to do it, or find anyone willing to help us, until we found Heather. She fixed our recliners and now they are back to being good as new!

I highly reccommend Heather for your upholestry need. She was quick to respond, reasonably priced and her work was superb. She repaired a small tear is my daughter's sofa and when she finished there was no evidence that anything was ever wrong with sofa. Thanks again Heather for your service for our country & for us.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies widely based on the clients needs. Hourly rates for quick fixes range between $65-$150 an hour depending on what needs to be addressed. Pricing for pieces that need to be reupholstered vary widely and is entirely based on what fabric is needed and what furniture needs to be reupholstered.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I set up a free consultation with the client and meet them where the furniture is located. I bring sample fabric at the clients request so that the client can picture what they want in real time where the piece is located. It helps the client realize the furniture potential in the room or background that the piece sits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Business with a minor in Marketing. I interned for 3 years at Next Door Upholstery in Shreveport, LA. I am also certified to reupholster furniture and boats at Tarrant County Community College.
