FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a detailed, itemized estimate outlining all materials required to complete your project, along with my labor charges. Unlike many companies, I do not use prefabricated closet systems or MDF components. Instead, I build custom closets using quality materials that are designed to last. As you may know, material costs are currently at an all-time high, but I do my best to secure discounts from my suppliers and pass those savings on to my customers whenever possible. My goal is always to provide the highest quality workmanship and materials while keeping the project as economical and affordable as possible. I take pride in offering custom solutions that are tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you receive a durable, functional, and beautiful closet that adds long-term value to your home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process begins with scheduling an in-home walkthrough so I can take accurate measurements and gather all necessary dimensions for the space. During this visit, I also work with you to brainstorm ideas, discuss functionality, and sketch out a layout that best fits your needs. I take photos of the space as well, which allows me to create 3D renderings and visual concepts to help you envision the finished project. Once I have collected all of the necessary information, I provide a detailed, itemized estimate outlining the materials, labor, and overall scope of work that I believe will be required to complete the project. If the proposal and pricing are approved, I require a signed contract along with a 50% deposit to secure your project on my schedule. After scheduling, I ask for approximately one week to order and gather materials, as well as to cut, prepare, and customize the hardwood components needed to create your desired layout. My goal is to ensure every closet is custom-built to your specifications, with quality craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the entire process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in carpentry since the age of 11, learning the trade alongside my father, who was a master carpenter. From an early age, I developed a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the importance of building things correctly the first time. As an adult, I have spent nearly 15 years specializing in custom carpentry, designing and building custom closets, cabinetry, built-ins, shelving systems, and other woodworking projects. My experience allows me to provide practical design solutions, high-quality workmanship, and custom layouts tailored to each client's specific needs and space. I take pride in delivering projects that are not only functional but also built to last. Every project receives the same level of care, precision, and craftsmanship that I was taught from the very beginning of my career.
