What I like most about my job is working with all kinds of peoples, their personality, listening to them talking about their wedding vision. Listening to the excitement, seeing the love that sparks out from them and turning their dream into a reality. When it all said and done, just seeing the expression,smiles and hearing the conversation coming from my clients, family and friend about the great time they had and how beautiful everything was. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always asked to host family and friends events for holidays, parties and wedding. I have worked in the corporate world for over twenty years or more scheduling and setting up meeting, conferences, seminars, graduation and parties. I found that I had a passion for planning wedding and events; so I decided to go into business. The first wedding that I planned was in my senior year in high school and I enjoyed putting all the details together and bringing it to life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Advise to a customer looking to hire a provider like me is to ask to see pictures of their works and get testimonial from their clients. Ask if they are certified, how many years have they been working as wedding planner, their educational background, and do they have a list of reputable vendors working with them. And last asks lots of questions and listen to see if they are asking you questions before deciding to work with them.
