Every project is different, so pricing depends on the actual scope of work. I like to understand the project first—what needs to be done, the condition of the area, materials, access, and any repairs involved—before giving a price. Once I have the right information, I’ll give you a clear quote and explain exactly what’s included before any work begins.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is an on-site assessment to get a clear idea of what you need done. I’ll ask a few questions, take a look at the problem areas, and review any photos or details that help explain what’s going on. From there, I’ll walk you through what I found, explain the options, give you a clear scope and price, and schedule the work. Once I’m on the job, I keep communication straightforward, do the work properly, clean up, and make sure everything is finished the way we discussed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my training has been hands-on, working in residential construction, repairs. I’ve worked with chimney and fireplace systems, leak diagnostics, siding and exterior repairs, carpentry, tear-down and build-back work, and general home repairs. A big part of my experience is being able to look at a problem, figure out what’s actually causing it, and explain the repair clearly to the homeowner without trying to oversell the job.
