Introduction: Homesmith Home Inspections is a locally owned home inspection business based in Houston, Texas. We are also licensed termite inspectors and licensed and registered accessibility specialists (ADA) inspectors. In addition, we are certified pool inspectors and certified infrared thermographers. We have also passed the State of Texas Mold Inspectors exam. We have performed hundreds of inspections and have hundreds of satisfied clients throughout the Houston area. Purchasing a home can be an exciting yet daunting experience. Homesmith Home Inspections understands how important it is for home buyers to obtain an accurate, non-biased home inspection when involved in the home buying process. Homesmith Home Inspections enjoys assisting others with what for many will be the purchase of their single largest asset--their home. We take pride in our attention to detail and accurate, thorough reporting. We take the time to sit down and walk our clients through the process, so that they are comfortable with the findings outlined in the home inspection report.

Home Inspection

Inspected the house thoroughly and with short notice. Showed up on time (even a bit early) and sent the report that same evening. I was able to pay online via PayPal which was wonderfully convenient. 100% satisfied with Homesmith Home Inspection and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Home Inspection

Mr Duff did an amazing job on our home inspection. It was one of the most detailed inspections I had ever seen. Our new home builder even commented about how detailed it was. He called and made sure I have builder more specifics of a few additional things after he was finished. For the price Mr Duff was amazing!! Thanks again....

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We base our fees (as do most Home Inspectors) based on the size of the home and various other factors such as age of the home and weather or not it has a pier and beam foundation. We feel our fees are very competitive and are listed on our website. We offer a free infrared thermographic survey scan with each home inspection (this is a $100.00 - $200.00 value based on the size of the home).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We welcome all of our clients to attend the home inspection. Most clients like to show up for the inspection when the actual physical part of the inspection is nearly complete. That way we can walk them through our findings both with photos and visually. We can then answer any questions/concerns they have prior to generating the report. This process works well for us and our clients really appreciate the effort. It also promotes good will and trust with our clients.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 20 years in the commercial real estate industry (Class A enclosed regional shopping malls and mixed use venues encompassing retail/office/multi-family and office use) and have assumed leadership roles in the leasing, management, development and construction of millions of square feet of commercial usage with a combined aggregate value of over several billion dollars. I am also a licensed Realtor, A licensed Professional Home Inspector, a licensed Professional Termite Inspector and a licensed Registered Accessibility Specialist (ADA) Inspector. I am also certified to inspect pools/spas, and a certified Infrared Thermographer.
