FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is carefully done with all of my years of education and experience considered. My skill and ability to deliver in amy situation is part of my value. Time, travel, and products are all part of the price. I only use the highest quality luxury and professional products with my clients and do not use drugstore products. Hiring a pro is about having professional products and skill used. I am prepared with chair, lighting, electrical extension, all sanitation/disposable supplies and products needed. I do not ask my clients to supply anything for me. Being reliable, reputable, experienced, flexible, and professional is what you pay for in my services. I don’t offer services that are halfway done or ala CArte makeup like eyes only etc. I do full complete and impeccable work so I price it accordingly
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like my first point of contact to be a sit down consultation with a client. Schedules don’t always permit that so a phone call or face time consult is the next best thing. Once we have established a good match and questions have been answered I direct and urge my clients to book online. All of my jobs are contract jobs so they will be paid for at time of booking, and non refundable with some exceptions such as emergencies or illness. I’m happy to answer questions and be a wealth of knowledge to anyone whether they decide to hire me or not. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out and know there is not ever an obligation to book with me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I come highly educated and skilled in my craft. I received a degree from the art institute, then a makeup artistry certification from taylor Andrews academy In Utah. My makeup school was a Mac cosmetics sponsored school. I began my career landing my dream job, working for Bobbi brown cosmetics as a freelance artist. I later became a resident artist for Bobbi brown, in sugar land texas, where I gained so much confidence in my skin tone matching, color correcting and makeup lesson skills. I elevated my techniques with special event and bridal makeup at a high volume cosmetics counter, while doing wedding makeup on my off days. I have over twenty two years of experience in on site hair and makeup artistry. My skill is not limited to brides and makeup lessons, I’ve also had the opportunity to do several film, television, and photography makeup jobs along the way. I love to do theatrical makeup and Halloween looks at that time of year. Going into business for myself was the best thing I’ve ever done! I have become in high demand in my area and continue to grow my clientele. I have won the katy times best of Katy, best makeup artist for two years in a row now, and going strong for a third. I’ll never stop educating myself and keeping myself up to date with the latest trends and techniques as well as continuing to take classes that will benefit my clients in any way. I most recently took a covid beauty sanitation course, and a course to help recognize and help victims of domestic violence. I jump at the chance to learn and never stop learning and getting better! If you’re not evolving you’re just back pedaling.
