Elise has been an amazing tutor to me for two years now! We've worked on many projects together, utilizing languages such as node.js, python, javascript, and SQL. She is patient with me and is excellent in discussing things to consider while we move forward with a project, as well as with estimating the time needed to complete a project. She takes the time to explain the math behind what we are doing, and does so in a very thoughtful way. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a math and/or computer science tutor!

Elise is AMAZING! I am in a very competitive graduate level program. Elise helped me with data analytic concepts and application such as Numpy and Pandas packages. I had very little background in prior to working with Elise. She was excellent in explaining the following coding concepts in (Python, C, Java, command line in Linux, understanding hexadecimal and binary number etc). I have worked with Elise for over a year. She really takes time to make sure students understand concepts and how to apply them. I will continue to work with Elise. You couldn't ask for a better tutor. She is friendly, punctual, smart and has an exceptional ability to teach many complex topics.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $110 per hour. I also offer a 10-hour package for $1045 and a new student discount of 50% for the first hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I schedule a 30 min complimentary consultation with new clients to discuss current topics, strengths and weaknesses, and goals for tutoring. That way we can take full advantage of the first session!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Downtown, a Spanish minor, and coursework for a math minor. I also taught for four years at charter schools: 2 years computer science and 2 years math. During my time teaching, I attended trainings for PLTW courses and AP Calculus.
