FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straightforward and transparent — no surprise fees. For insurance claims, we work directly with your adjuster to make sure you receive every dollar you're entitled to under your policy. For retail (out-of-pocket) jobs, we provide detailed written estimates broken down by materials and labor. We offer Good/Better/Best material options to fit different budgets, from standard shingles to premium CertainTeed systems with enhanced warranties. We never require full payment upfront — we collect a deposit at contract signing and the balance upon completion. Military, first responder, and referral discounts are available — just ask.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free roof inspection — on the roof, not just from the driveway. After the inspection, we walk you through exactly what we found with photos and a full written estimate. If it's an insurance claim, we help you file, attend the adjuster meeting if needed, and handle the supplement process. Once approved or agreed upon, we schedule your job, order materials, and complete the work — typically in one day for most residential roofs. We do a thorough cleanup including magnetic nail sweep, and we walk the job with you before collecting final payment. You'll also receive all warranty documentation before we leave.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold three CertainTeed certifications: Master Craftsman, Shingle Quality Specialist, and Select Roofing Contractor — among the highest designations CertainTeed awards to contractors. These certifications require demonstrated installation knowledge, product expertise, and a commitment to quality. Our team is also trained in proper ventilation systems, flashing techniques, and code-compliant installation practices. We stay current on manufacturer specs, local building codes, and insurance restoration procedures including Xactimate estimating.
