FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For my photography clients: I usually have a conversation -over the phone or messaging- to understand the type of event and date and time. After confirming the type of shoot and any requests, I discuss my terms, pricing, and turnover time. Once we agree on everything, I send final confirmation and again the day before. For my tailoring clients: I begin by asking what type of garment needs work and what needs to be done. I request a picture of the before, (or sample pictures if I am designing a new garment) then I ask when the garment needs to be finished and submitted. If it's simply alterations, I quote the client then agree on a meeting time and place for a fitting so I can do my markings and pining if need be. If I am designing a new garment, I draw up a few sketches then set up a meeting time and place to take measurements and agree on a sketch. After the sewing is done, we meet again for a fitting and if all is well, payment is made then. If it still needs work, I take it back, finish it then submit.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been artistic so photography and photo editing started as a hobby. I learned to sew through my family and I stuck with it and took off from there. After photoshooting my clothing line collection, my work started to get noticed and the requests started coming in.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with clothing models, children, parents for their child's birthday, business professionals, product owners, newlyweds and engaged couples.
