We know the difficulties that come with trying to pick the right painting company for your project. Can you trust them to do the best job? Will they finish on schedule? Is their price fair? My name is John Bress, and I'm the owner of Discipleship Painting. My father is a residential painter and my grandfather was a paint chemist. Painting is in our blood. We welcome any questions or concerns you have about products, techniques, or why we price the way we do. None of our work will ever be subbed out to a different painting crew, which means every job will be completed by in-house guys we know and trust. It is a great pleasure to work with John. He answered a lot of my questions promptly leading up to the start time, respected the schedule for the project and everything happened on time. The work itself was excellent. The crew put paper and covered every inch of the kitchen for the wall patching and painting. The wall looked perfect after they patched it up and the paint job is great.

This is the first time I have hired a painter. I wasn't sure what to expect but John has set the standard for all future work. My project was for paint and popcorn ceiling removal in my master bedroom and bathroom. It took 4.5 days. I went with a higher quality paint (SuperPaint) instead of the "normal" promar paint. Communication - I asked many questions before and during the job. He answered my texts very quickly and was proactive whenever possible. He went into great detail with me and provided recommendations when I wasn't sure of something. Professional - John was extremely professional through the entire process. From the initial quote all the way to finishing the job. John arrived on time each day and left no later than 4 each day. Keeping a schedule should not be underestimated with home renovation projects. We checked in at the start and end of each day and I gave feedback and slight adjustments to things as he went. He also offered to make repairs to things that I had never noticed. I am happy with the work. I did quote multiple companies and he was in the same range as the others. He was not the cheapest and admitted to me that he wouldn't be. I ultimately chose him because I felt he was genuine, professional and would complete the project on time.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I highly prefer to have eyes on ALL my jobs to insure a fair price to the customer. With so many variables involved it's the best way
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Treat them as I would want to be treated not to sound cliche. But with respect and transparency.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in this business since I was 14 under my fathers company j Walters custom painting, and I love what I do
