FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The basic tuning fee covers a standard fine tuning, a light cleaning, and a careful evaluation of the piano. If it has been over a year since the last tuning, your piano might be significantly off pitch. If it is more than 6% off, it will need a pitch raise tuning to bring it close enough to pitch for a stable fine tuning to be done. Pitch raises are an additional $85. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After making an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email, a reminder email, and a phone call from your technician en route. The first service appointment will include an in-person consultation on the unique needs and condition of your piano, if you are available. You will receive an itemized, emailed invoice at the time of service, and can opt in to receive scheduling reminders at your preferred service interval. We stay as flexible as possible, and keep the process as pleasant and simple for the customer as we can!
