I hired DJ/Doryan to do some drywall repair work for me. I work in construction and have seen a lot of drywall repair fails so we agreed he would do half of the needed repairs and if it was good work we would move forward with the other half. They did a fine job, so I made a check out to Arrowhead for the first half and we moved forward. The second half is where things went downhill. Doryan completed the job, sent photos and asked for payment but there were some things that still needed work. He went back the following day to fix the things I had pointed out in the photos, but I was not able to go verify his work in person. He kept pressuring me to pay him that day, so again I asked him to send photos of the job so I could verify the job was done. He sent photos, and I paid him but this time he asked me to Zelle or Venmo him personally (not arrowhead this time). Confusing. When I was able to go and verify the work in person I discovered things were not great. In the end, he left mud all over electrical boxes, and the overall level of quality and texture match was poor. Three stars because the first half was okay, he did *attempt* to fix things, and was overall a nice person. Also bc he said he would come back to fix things for free. I am, however, a firm believer in not going back to the surgeon who botched you hoping for a different result. I’ve paid Dorian/Arrowhead $2100 total and am now sitting on an incomplete job. My bad for sending the money without going to look in person, and my bad for taking him at his word.
