In our new house had an all wood look tile floor that started cracking almost immediately and after 3 years of having individual tiles replaced a few at a time over those three years our builder agreed to replace the flooring. We went with a LVP laid over the tile and insisted that Jared at LoneStar Craftwork did the work as he’d done several other projects for us and we knew his work would be excellent. He didn’t disappoint. He started with a leveling compound to fill the grout lines and ensure a completely flat surface for the LVP, pulled the doors, baseboards, and toilet, and even made a custom piece of trim to fit up against an exterior door threshold that the LVP didn’t fit up against properly. Now the floors look great and as an added bonus he even made the baseboards look better when he put them back in by simply taking a little more time to get everything straight and level… I didn’t even realize how bad they were before, but the difference is amazing. In addition to the floors we’ve had LoneStar Craftwork build some floating shelves, install dog doors through two different walls complete with trim, build a wooden Christmas tree, install shelves in a closet under our stairs, and build a custom printer cabinet for a plotter.

Jared created wall-to-wall bookshelves to display the way-too-many books I own. It’s the first time in 7 years they’ve all been accessible. I showed Jared some photo ideas and he went to work. I am extremely pleased with them and love sitting upstairs surrounded by all that knowledge. The only drawback is I keep buying books and may need to have Jared build more.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 5 years experience remodeling bathrooms. That includes demolition, framing, plumbing relocation, electrical, sheetrock (tape/float/texture), painting, custom cabinetry, trim work, and flooring (tile/vinyl/LVT)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out shortly after high school working for a property management company in Lubbock, Tx.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of people. Everyone sometimes needs little help remodeling or building, and I'm here to help everyone.
