- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All sessions are a full 1.5 hours. The cost is $ 100 flat fee which includes any modalities used, heat, cold, or essential oils. If a client wants an extra 30 minutes it is billed in $25 increments. If I have to drive more than 20 minutes from my base, it is $10 more for each 20 miles.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. The Texas Board of Massage therapy requires CEU's for each renewal cycle. Plus, our professional liability insurance puts out a magazine that offers the latest and up to date findings, tests, and further education in specific disciplines.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I felt "called" as a child. I began the study of other healing modalities when I entered counseling at the age od 30. I actively began the process after working at a large teaching hospital who used Reiki Masters in their Oncology Department to help relieve pain and the nausea associated with Chemotherapy. They were in an experiment using an integrative health team which consisted of 2 M.D.'s, a Counselor, Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, D.O., Chiropractor, and Nutritionist. My hands seemed to have a gift of their own. I had been a pianist for many years and could do most anything. It was as natural to me as breathing. It was the passion I had been seeking and knew it would aid in the healing process of my patients.
