Melissa's Cyber Transcription, Proofreading and...

I am based in Lillian, Texas, which is about 25 miles south of downtown Fort Worth. I am semiretired but continue to do transcription from home via the Internet. My background is diverse, including legal and medical transcription in addition to a wide variety of other types of transcription more recently. My earlier background was in advertising, where I was a secretary, but due to my eagle eye for a typo or grammatical error, I became a principal proofreader and copyeditor. In addition, I also do some basic copywriting. While my advertising experience was early in my working career, I have continued to use my proofreading and editing skills over the years. I have edited two books and a screenplay more recently. My grammar and spelling skills are above average, and I would be willing to take any test you may require in that respect. My typing speed is approximately over 90 words per minute. I would be most interested in any job that requires transcription but even more so, I would enjoy the opportunity to once again wield my editorial pen.
