FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I will ask of a new client is to fill out a food questionnaire. The questionnaire is completely confidential and only used to help me get a better understanding of the types of foods, spices and flavors you want, like and crave the most along with what your dietary needs and goals are. Once that is determined I create a menu and weekly plan of service and delivery. I work as close with you as you like. I'm always available and adaptable to the changing needs of my clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a graduate from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and have worked for several restaurants throughout my 25 year career. I would have to say the most valuable experience and training for this type of work as a personal chef comes from working in the catering field. Yes restaurants give a Chef a great amount of knowledge but in restaurants for the most part you are working with the same menu with little room to create something new. As a personal chef, I'm working with new people and new menus every day, giving me the freedom to try new things and think outside the box. It's really the best part of my job!
