- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitively priced base and reflects the experience and skills I bring to bear on a client request, but without the additional burdensome overhead of an agency. I typically charge by-the-job for standard, common requests such as logos, business cards & stationary, etc. I maintain by-the-hours rates for custom design / production work which reflects the value of my time during normal business hours (8-5, M-F). Of course, there are premium charges for over-time and holiday as well as 'rush' jobs which would displace currently scheduled work for other clients. Some clients have earned impressive discounts because (1) of the amount of repeat work they provide, (2) the size or length of a particular job, or (3) the number of referrals they provide me which result in new clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Setting up a phone meeting to discuss project. If feasible I will meet with customer in person. Gather up information and begin the work. Working up a few drafts to make sure I'm on the right page with customer. Communicating always with customer.

I started out as a Technical Illustrator and felt I needed more creativity.
