Introduction: I am a photographer specializing in event and portrait photography. Whether you want a business headshot or beautiful portrait of your children, family, or pet - JX Studio is here to help you. Being flexible in meeting your needs to capture those special moments for you that you will absolutely love. You can download high resolution photographs, or we can help you with printing posters, albums of any size and any other style you choose. Outside of photography, I have my Masters in Computer Science and work as a Software Consultant. I love helping and enjoy those small moments behind the lens with my family. Wow! Such a great decision to hire John to do a photo shoot for my daughters college graduation. John is a great guy with genuinely wanting to help you with the best photos. He was incredible flexible with our schedule and he was fully invested in making sure that we walked away with the best photos. More importantly he worked within our budget without cutting any corners. I can’t say enough good things about John and JX Studio. I will hire him again in a heartbeat. JX Studio did a phenomenal job helping us celebrate my mother and father-in-law's 50th anniversary. Taking pictures was the way we wanted to capture the weekend experience and John and his team didn't disappoint. We took group photos and individual family photos. He was easy to work with, professional, flexible with time, helpful, and affordable. If you need someone you can trust I highly recommend!

My family felt so comfortable with the photographers they didn’t feel pressured. It went smoothly the 4- 6 hours they were there. I cannot explain enough how positive of an experience it was to have John for my portraiture and headshot project! There are some things that stand out in particular about him that put him head and shoulders above others I have worked with. First, the quality of his work is above and beyond - he aims for perfection of the pictures for his clientele. He works endlessly for this because he is that passionate about his work and because he wants his client to have the best experience possible. Secondly, he cares genuinely about the people in the photograph. He will work with you if there are extenuating circumstances that require changes to the original plan and does not take advantage of his clients in the process. You never feel that he is doing this to make money but instead feel that he is doing this because he personally cares about his client and about photography. Finally, this is a family run small business and is a passion for him. Unlike what the industry has become, John is unique in that he understands what ordinary Americans are going through and has tailored his business to make photos accessible for all. He has the attitude and aptitude of a true pro. I will certainly be asking him for future with any photography needs! Thank you very much for a great experience!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer discount rates for the first-responders, veterans and for those in the military. We also offer discounted rates for those who are out of a job, but needs a headshot to build their resume. We do not have readymade "packages", instead we work with you to understand your need and what you can afford.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We respond quickly as possible, sometimes even in seconds. Once you contact us, we meet in person or connect over Thumtack chat, TXT or phone and take it further.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are a family based small-business unit. JX Studio is owned by Dr. Thomas, key photographers are John & Liz both Computer and MBA Graduates. All of us chase our passion and love for photography, completed training in professional photography from SMU. We have over 15 years of experience in professional photography. JX Studio train and educate new and aspiring photographers.
