My first pianolesson was fantastic. Laura’s patience and guidance made such a difference. Ms. Laura has been 🤩 amazing! My daughter mentioned that she was really interested in learning piano when she was 8 years old. We started with 30 min sessions once a week. My daughter took to piano really quickly. Ms. Laura always seemed to know the right amount of challenge for her. My daughter stayed consistent and Ms. Laura helped her prepare for an audition for our performing arts middle school. The person completing the audition said “we can tell she has strong training and foundation” all from zoom! My daughter is most of the way through middle school and one of the strongest players in her program! We can’t thank Ms. Laura enough! Her ability to respond quickly, add extra classes when needed, knowing when she needs to push and back off, kindness and understanding and unwavering support are the reasons we keep coming back ! We cannot recommend this teacher enough! She has been so monumental in not only my child’s growth but her confidence as well!

Laura is very patient working with me starting piano at age 75. I am very comfortable asking questions and admitting I don’t understand some parts of the lesson. She helps me calmly, until it makes sense. I feel supported and encouraged to keep going. I can’t believe I can play with two hands and one brain! Life is good, and Laura is great.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free trial lesson to all of my first time students!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first lesson, I like to go over any previous musical experience and build on that. We go over your personal goals and devise a plan to reach those goals. If you're a brand-new beginner, we start from the basics by creating an individual, creative lesson plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing at the age of six, and began teaching at the age of 16. After high school I attended Eckerd College on a music scholarship focusing on classical piano, and continued my studies at the University of Tampa and University of South Florida. I received a degree in Music and Video Business at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. I am also a video editor. I especially enjoy putting music to my shows that have aired on Discovery, TLC, HGTV, PBS, and more!
