What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Inspections and estimates are free, and every estimate is in writing before any work starts. Small repairs start at about $300 for sealant work and run about $450 to $780 for most small repairs. Steep roofs and jobs in New Mexico cost more. Current offers: $500 off a full Klaus roof system replacement (minimum job $10,000) and $250 off attic insulation (minimum job $3,000). Financing is available, and we accept credit cards, cash and checks.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a free on-site inspection. We get on the roof, take photos of what we find and walk you through them. Then you get a written estimate with your options, from a repair to a full replacement. Once you approve it, we schedule the job, install it, clean up the site and do a final walkthrough with you. After hail or wind, the inspection comes first. If there's damage, you call your insurer, and we document the damage and meet your adjuster on site. Check your policy for its reporting deadline.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fortenberry Roofing is RCAT licensed (#03-0142) and holds New Mexico Construction Industries Division license GS-21 #90632. We're a Klaus Roofing Systems dealer installing IKO shingles, and a GAF Gold Elite certified contractor for commercial roofing. We're members of LARCA, NAHB and NRCA, and our crews have installed shingle, metal, TPO, EPDM, PVC and modified bitumen roofs across the South Plains.
