We’ve had a wonderful experience with Sara! She tutors both of my kids—one in 6th-grade math and the other in Pre-Algebra. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer varying prices for different levels of services. My options vary from classes for homeschoolers during school hours to 1:1 tutoring after school. All prices are listed on my website, but to give you an overall idea, a 30 minute session is $25 with bulk discounts available for longer sessions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always assess a new child with a thorough, digital adaptive math diagnostic. This way, we focus only on what is needed without the extra fluff (although I do like to have fun and incorporate it a lot in my sessions). I also meet with the parent(s) to get an extensive intake of their child's needs, strengths, etc. More info about the process can be found on the Work With Me section of my website.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a credentialed teacher who has left the classroom to homeschool her own kids. I have 10+ years in the field of education and have worked in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, although I specialize in 4th and 5th grade math.
