FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer one hour, hour and a half, and two hour sessions for $80, $120, and $150.00 which includes my travel time and expenses. Thai Bodywork easily commands hourly rates of $125 per hour in larger cities, but because it is my goal to introduce as many as possible to this amazing ancient method, I keep my prices lower. I do offer a 10% discount to those still in active service or having served in our armed forces at any time as well as police officers, ambulatory technicians, and firemen. Please do ask and be prepared to show your credentials.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I never stop learning and studying as there is so much to learn with which I can help others. When you can positively impact the lives of others you want more and more tools at your disposal. With that said I avoid being a Jack-of-all-trades and offering a multitude of services preferring to focus instead on techniques that offer the most significant impact.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When the economy nose dived back in 08' I was looking for employment having lost my teaching position. I was desperate and took a customer service position in a salon. It was while working there that I was introduced to ThaI Bodywork and made the decision to take this alternative path to superior Bodywork vs traditional Western "Massage Schools" that basically only teach one thing, Swedish. I wanted to learn more for my time and money so I studied and received certification in IL (the only state in the US that regulates Thai Bodywork) from a school that is dedicated to teaching only Thai Bodywork and herbalism. I wanted to learn more so found a teacher in Thailand who would work with me and achieved international certification from there as well.
