FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Individual lessons are $60 Packages are $220 for 4 weekly lessons
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Going over the basics, building a rapport, evaluating their level of confidence and natural ability as a rider. I’ll usually ask what experience they have and set up a couple of exercises to see what we're working with! Main focuses for a beginner are walking/grooming/tacking up our horse, starting, stopping, steering, body position, and that we always reward our horses!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve worked with and ridden horses since the age of three, taking lessons in primarily hunter/jumpers (with a few years of western). I rode under names such as Charles McDaniels, Colonel Russel, Daniella Fields, Susan Winston, and Ann Hanna. In the beginning of highschool I was on the IEA team for the Fountain Valley School of Colorado in Colorado Springs. When I moved back to Texas the end of my sophomore year, I began my internship with Daniella Fields if Winning Fields Stables; learning the ins and outs of training horses (of all ages, breeds, and levels of experience) teaching lessons, and running a lesson program. Once I graduated highschool, I began teaching lessons part time at two different barns in the Southwest Suburbs of Illinois. I taught up until the end of my sophomore year. I am now attending Texas Tech University and obtaining a degree in Equine Production; to further my education and follow my dreams of training and teaching full time. I helped coach the Texas tech Equestrian team from 2019-2021. I worked at a couple local Lubbock barns before operating as Weatherbie Equestrian on our private facility.
