FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complicated, depending on the type of job. For trim it is approximately $1 per square foot but extra with the addition of crown or other specialties.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I followed my father into this field about 18 years ago. I started as a trim carpenter then at 21, I bought my own set of tools and started my own business. The proudest part of this is that I was able to take my dad with me and split everything with him and he was no longer and hourly employee for a sub contractor.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly trimming newly constructed houses. Setting doors, running baseboards, designing closets, running crown, window stool, building mantles, chair rail, installing doorknobs and other small items as part of the lockout process. I also build cabinets and do home remodeling.
