- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$40 upfront for small jobs like virus removal and network assistance (if I am coming out to you), then $40 an hour. For large jobs like bulk hardware repair or extensive data recovery, it is $50 up front and $50 an hour. Though most jobs I have received on thumbtack have been same day resolution and one to two hours to complete.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended Computer Science classes at Austin Community College and Texas State University. I enjoy what I do and love advancing my technical knowledge on my own through my side projects as well as my work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved computers since I first got one at age 5. Over the years I have built my own computers and solved my own computer problems through trial, error and research; gradually begining to offer help to others as I became more confident. I enjoy technology and even some of the frustrating problems that come with it, so it's a great line of work for me overall.
