FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straightforward — no hidden fees, no surprises. Every job starts with a free on-site estimate, and the price you approve in writing is the price you pay. We don't charge by the hour; we quote fixed prices per project so you always know your total cost upfront. A 50% deposit is required to schedule your job, with the remaining balance due on completion day. We accept Zelle, Venmo, check, and credit card.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every job starts with a free on-site visit — we come to your home, look at exactly what needs to be done, and ask the right questions. No guessing, no quoting over the phone. Within 24 hours of that visit you'll have a written fixed-price quote in hand. On job day, your HandledHTX project manager is on-site to oversee the work, ensure quality, and keep things on track. You'll receive photo updates throughout so you always know what's happening — even if you're not home. When the work is done, we do a final walkthrough with you before collecting the remaining balance. If anything isn't right, we fix it before we leave. After completion we'll follow up to make sure you're fully satisfied, and we back every job with a 30-day workmanship guarantee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background is in project management — the discipline of coordinating people, timelines, budgets, and quality standards to deliver results on time and on budget. That skillset transfers directly to home repair: most jobs don't fail because of a lack of trade skill, they fail because of poor communication, no oversight, and nobody managing the process. Where I bring the trade expertise is through my team. Every specialist on the HandledHTX bench — drywall and texturing — has been personally vetted through a screening process that includes reviewing past work, checking references, and completing a paid test job before being trusted with a client project. I don't send anyone to your home I wouldn't send to my own. On the project management side, I bring hands-on experience overseeing scopes of work, managing timelines, coordinating multiple trades on a single job, and holding workmanship to a defined standard before any job is closed out. That's the part most contractors skip — and it's exactly what HandledHTX was built around.
