Introduction: I have been a professional calligrapher for over 30 years. In the last 20 years, most of my work has been hand-engraving my exquisite lettering with a dental drill. This high-speed rotary tool, using steel carbide round burs (drill bits), will engrave almost any surface of any material. This elegant hand-scripting is put on knives, guns, jewelry, money clips, crystal, and wine bottles. Fragrance bottles, cremation urns, and all kinds of sporting goods equipment are frequent items that cross my engraving table. People love the artistic appearance of the personalization and often come back for more after the first gift they give with the recipient's name on it. I have several companies who keep me supplied with product to engrave as they get orders for names to be put on them. These include wine bottles, money clips, and poker bracelets. I had my own public television series, Ken Brown's Calligraphy For Everyone that aired on over 100 PBS stations from 1984 - 1996. My works has been shipped to customers in over a dozen foreign countries. I've done over 650 special events in large retail stores, personalizing fragrance bottles, wine bottles, crystal, and sporting equipment. I will travel anywhere for 8 hour events.
