- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each cake is priced independently based on difficulty of decoration, types of frosting, and specialty of cake flavor. However, a basic cake flavor with buttercream frosting runs $2.00/serving. Fondant covered cakes are $3.00/serving. Fillings and special items are priced higher.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet with new customers in person if at all possible, but a simple phone call works week too. It really creates an understanding for one another where text can not. In the meeting I like to have cake to sample. I ask for brides to have an idea of what they are looking for. I price everything according to their specifications.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check references and make sure to look at their work to see if their style is even something that you like.
