FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We're talented professionals with relevent college degrees and years of experience in writing and editing. You want a written project that is excellently written and researched, with an emphasis on your client and their needs. You can find writing work cheaper through content mills, but often clients complain that they received work full of errors, halfway done, and it doesn't sell their product. Our clients love to stick with us and while we've made small errors in the past, we go above and beyond to edit and change and fix and refuse to leave a horrible taste in your mouth. We'll never leave you with a bad product. And if you have a bad experience, we'll step right up and fix it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you're looking at my profile, chances are you want someone to help you word something to get more views, traffic, clicks, and eventually clients or customers for yourself. Typically, customers reach out and let me know who they are and what they do (see the questions at the bottom!). We'll talk online first. A "get to know you" chat where I ask about your business and your goals for me. We'll also talk numbers, budgets, and expected results. I will be as honest with you as possible and this is your time to see if you and I can mesh as partners. Writing is about how we cooperate to present your vision to someone else in the best format possible, and I want to make sure I'm meeting your expectations. We'll decide if we want to sign a contract, and then make a phone interview where I'll take notes and get more details about your project. After that, I'll get to work. Writers worth their salt know that even after they finish a piece the editing is never done. I'll send you two drafts. 1) The first a review of whether or not you like the concept, voice, and tone. 2) The second a "cleaned up" piece that you can look over for any potential errors. You'll then receive one more bit of writing from me, a final product ready for you to send, post, print, or publish. I am bringing in enough writing clients to start working with a team, but I'd never bring on someone I don't trust. Lucky for you, I know a whole host of great writers and editors from over the years that are going through some training right now!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in English and mass communications from East Texas Baptist University. I also have a 4-8 and 7-12 English language arts teaching certification, and 7-12 journalism teaching certification. Also, I've completed some small continuing education courses in copywriting.
