- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With all customers, we like to discuss the customers needs. We want to fully understand what it is that the customer wishes to accomplish. All the effort in the world will do no good if the customers expectations are not met. After we have a complete understanding of the customers needs, we then will discuss how we will go about achieving that goal. We discuss the process, the tools used, techniques, and help educate our customer so that they can see and feel comfortable with the work being performed. It has been my experience that the more a customer understands about how our services are being applied, the more they can appreciate just how much of a priority we make their project. We will discuss our pricing and break down why things cost what they do. I have found that customers want quality, and quality shows in price, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Paying too much does not mean you’re getting quality just as much as paying too little does not insure customer satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to hold the licenses that I hold, the contractor must submit to extensive training and apprenticeships as well as formal schooling. While attending college, I also enrolled in HVAC training to add to my business model. I am an eighth generation green industry professional and have a strong background in landscape and lawn/turf maintenance. I attended school to receive my irrigators license and sat for the Texas Department of Environmental Quality exam back in 2001. In addition to my HVAC (A/C&Heating contractor), Turf Irrigators design and Installers License, I also posses a Certified Pesticide Applicators License issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture as well as a Pest Control Business License. I specialize in Mosquito Control, Termite Control, Lawn & Ornamental disease and pest treatment, and Weed (vegetation) Control. All these licenses must be maintained with state required insurance as well as annual continuing education credits. I personally have to complete 24 hours annually to maintain my licenses.
