- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't really have a system. I work on a daily rate or weekly. I don't really have an hourly rate. A good example is I can install a ceiling fan in 15 min. I'm generally 100.00 to do so. But I wouldn't charge 400.00 for a hour. So it all depends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started building custom cabinets and trim. When it got slow I'd work for remodel companies. I learned from them.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
All. Good, bad, mean, you name it. But every customer I meet I treat with respect because they deserve it. Usually it's just a miscommunication or misunderstanding that creates a problem. But bad experiences go both ways and I rarely have them. I try to go the extra mile so I'm used again.
