I love to use light- natural and artifical. I am constantly learning new techniques on the use of light and how it improves my photography. For those wanting a portrait with their horse or other 4 legged friend I know the proper angles so your horse will not look distorted. We will get a shot with your horses ears up and you will look good too! I know many breed standards for those required shots, plus I am creative for those unique shots that no one else has. I do not over edit my photos only enhance colors, details and retouch. I like photos to look natural without overblow colors. No trendy editting, natural editting,that will be timeless. Photography lets the creative side of me tell a story and help bring memories to the those on the other side of the camera. Meeting a wide variety of people and seeing new places is a big plus too!

Terri has done our family pictures for the last 2 years. I get compliments every time someone sees them! Can't wait for her to come back out and do photos of the horses and foals. Terri is professional, great with kids and can photograph a horse well. Thank you Terri for all the great pictures!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I belong to several photography clubs and attend several paid classes they have throughout the year. These clubs are also a useful place to share your knowledge with others and learn a few tricks and tips from them
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with a family of photography hobbiest. Even had a dark room in my house. I always had some type of camera and slowly upgraded. When I had just what I wanted it was stolen, but it was film and everyone was going digital. They were very expensive then so once again I started over. Prices went down and quality keeps getting better so I have I feeling I will always be upgrading. I never stopped taking photos even after working a regular 8 to 5 job for 20+ years. It was finally time to do what I love and help others build memories. Haven't looked back since as I am constantly learning and building my photography business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Ranch calls- Spend several hours taking images of the horses, action shots, portraits, buildings and landscape Senior Portraits- A fun photo session that can take several hours. Your favorite location or mine. Clothing and location changes ok. Bring your prop, car, or favorite 2 or 4 legged friend. Equine Portrait- Just or horse or you and you horse, I will make both of you look good!
