This was my first time using Thumbtack. I'll start out by saying that the job got done. I wanted my patio cleaned and it ended up clean and Mike was the cheapest quote we got. Mike was nice and came out the same day as my post. But I thought I was specific in my request. I posted that I needed all of the furniture moved from the patio, I wanted it cleaned, then the furniture put back. Mike and I spoke on the phone and he asked if I wanted it pressure washed. I honestly didn't care, whatever was faster. I just had dirt that needed to be cleaned off (my husband and I usually use a deck brush and hose to mop it but we didn't have time bf our party). My husband was working from home and I thought Mike knew he would be handeling furniture. But instead he asked my husband to help him move it all off the patio then said he couldn't wait for the floor to dry and left the furniture for my husband to move back himself. I don't know how assertive my husband was in articulating that he didn't have time to help but I know I was clear in my original post that the furniture was part of the deal... all in all it got done but it wasn't completely what I had asked for.

Michael is a very reliable, professional and outstanding at what he does. Michael initially painted the inside of our house and paid attention to every detail. We then realised that he could fix a lot of things around the house like our patio screen door etc. We are very pleased with all the work that Michael has done for us. I am sure in the future we will be calling him again!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for working with a new customer, I believe that after the initial quote over this site, it will be to meet in person. Get to know each other so the trust on both, customer and technician start growing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 years of civil engineering at the University of Puerto Rico. I study aircraft mechanics and have my A&P lic. I have training in different aircraft models, as I worked for different airlines. I finished my Facilities Maintenance course with HBI, where learned some of the new tech, how to, with the old tech, and much more. Also we learned about green house.
