This person has no clue about what he is doing. I had a phone consultation with him and he misguided me on every question I had. I had to hire someone else to get my simple questions answered.

Hi Nisha - I apologize you feel this way. From my notes, we had an half hour call on February 2 where you asked me about gift tax regarding a large sum of money you received from your parents in India. I informed you there is no gift tax that you need to pay but you need to report gifts in excess of 100k received from foreign individual via an IRS Form 3520. After that call you texted me asking me if you should have a separate bank account for your LLC and whether your LLC should be in Texas or NJ. I told you should have a separate bank account and the tax implications for the LLC in NJ and in TX (free of charge). We had no further communication, until yesterday April 4, where you sent me a text message at 4pm asking me for help in completing the Form 3520. I did not get a chance to respond as its tax season and I am in back to back calls with clients all day and evening. Then this morning I see this review. I reached out to you via Thumbtack and text for clarification on what you feel misguided about from our 30 minute phone call on the reporting gifts and short text message on LLCs, however you haven't responded. I am glad you were able to find someone to respond to your last minute text and assist you between 4pm yesterday and 10am this morning in the middle of tax season and hope you received accurate advice. For my own benefit, I will still appreciate if you can tell me what I misguided on you as I am a CPA who has been doing this for over 15 years and have never once received such a comment.

My fees are typically fixed and based on the work required. I do offer discounts for customers who book in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new customers, my first step is to set up a meeting to understand customer's needs and concerns. I want to be sure that the customer and I are good match and I am able to meet his/her expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed CPA and have a B.S. degree in accounting from a nationally ranked top business school. I also had over 5 years experience working for a national public accounting firm before staring my own practice.
