Introduction: There are alot of great professionals in the Dallas - Ft Worth Metroplex...my greatest talents are non stop improv comedy and high energy. I entertain your audience with juggling, magic, jokes, balloons, games, mime, poetry, balancing, stilt walking, unicycling, or face painting. Another plus for me as Tharpo the Clown I can adapt to fit the needs of any event or program, size of crowd, theme or time. I also have costumes to fit any major holiday or themed events - Elf, Pirate, Uncle Sam, Jester to name a few. I like the feeling of seeing others smile and know they have enjoyed the performance. After entertaining for over 20 years, I still feel excited to go out and make others laugh....just for a brief period of time....all their cares are lifted away. I am lucky to do this every time I do a "gig"...entertainer talk for "event". I know that my job is really my life work and I really am grateful that I get to do something I love all the time. And no matter what age of my audience.....a smile and a laugh are just the best things you can share with another.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, Jeff Tharp, owner of All Occasion Performers goes to monthly meetings for up to date information of the local Magic Club, Face Painting Club, Balloon Artist Club, Caricature Artist Club, Clown Club, and Juggling Club. He also attends the area meetings of other entertainment groups to stay abreast of what is going on in the industry. These different groups are the continuing education for entertainers. In the Dallas- Ft Worth Metroplex, we are so fortunate to have these groups to help keep us up to date on everything.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jeff Tharp, owner of All Occasion Performers came to the Dallas-Ft Worth in 1988 to expand his opportunities in the world of entertainment. He received a BFA from SMU in Springfield, Missouri where he won the Kathleen Turner Performance Scholarship for his outstanding performance skills. Since starting All Occasion Performers, Jeff aka Tharpo the Clown has done over 6,000 events, appeared in 8 films, 14 commericals, and a variety of plays, industrial films, TV and print work.
