Ms. Kirstie's classes stretch the students, meeting them where they are musically and taking them to the next level. She offers her pupils traditional Catholic hymns delivered in a high-tech, online format. This is an amazing and impactful combination!

Kirstie, Ava and I have been so happy with her piano lessons with you. You are such an awesome teacher. You are organized which helps keep Ava organized. I love how you always send a follow up with what was covered during the lesson and with what her homework is for the coming week. I cannot praise you enough! Thanks for being such a great teacher and motivator for Ava. We are both very grateful for all you do.

Kirstie has been a joy to work with. My daughter has grown musically and more confident as a kid. She looks forward to her lessons with Kirstie. So much so we increased to an hour instead of previous lessons at thirty minutes. She is truly a joy to have in our lives. Thank you Kirstie.

Piano Lessons

Kirstie responded quickly to each question we posed. During the trial she was very patient, honest about her level of expertise and great with teens. I am thrilled that she was a little flexible and able to work around my son's schedule.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Tuition is a flat rate monthly fee dependent on if the student is registered for weekly private lessons or weekly group classes and the length of the lessons (30 minutes or 60 minutes per week).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When an interested student contacts me, I ask them to fill out the form on my website so I can get a clearer picture of the student's goals and current level. Then we setup a free meet and greet session so we can get to know eachother. We then find an open slot on the studio calendar that works for the student and get started!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a have a certificate in music composition, a minor in Piano Pedagogy, and Bachelors degree in Music from Valley City State University as well as a Masters degree in Music Education from Boston University. My musical studies include: Music Theory, Pedagogical Studies, Aural Skills, Music Appreciation, Music Composition, Ear Training, Sight-Singing, Sight-Reading, Gregorian Chant, Applied Piano Lessons, Applied Violin Lessons, Applied Clarinet Lessons, Music History, Conducting, Ensemble/Concert Band/Orchestra. I have received awards for performances on clarinet, violin and piano, have played at the Summer Strings Institute hosted by the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Washington D.C. and at Jones Hall as a member of the Gulf Coast Concert Band. I'm also a member of numerous music associations including MTNA, NFMC, TFMC, and TMTA.
