Hi! I’m an enthusiastic and fun piano teacher who’s passionate about helping students enjoy music and grow their skills with confidence. I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Piano Performance, and I’ve been professionally trained since the age of 8. Over the years, I’ve performed in many solo recitals, especially during my time at the University of Wyoming—but what I truly love most is teaching. With more than 15 years of experience working with students of all ages and levels, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and personalized learning experience that brings out each student’s best.

“Strict but fun and enthusiastic”—this is how many of my students have described me after years of learning together. I believe in maintaining high standards while creating a positive and enjoyable environment where students feel motivated and supported.
In my piano lessons, I assign a diverse range of repertoire to help students develop a strong understanding of various musical styles. While mastering piano technique is essential, I place equal importance on note-reading, music theory, ear training, and music history. These components are integrated consistently into lessons to build well-rounded musicianship and deepen each student’s musical expression.
Students are encouraged to participate in one or two annual recitals that I organize. These events are wonderful opportunities to build confidence and celebrate progress. I also support students in seeking additional performance opportunities at school, church, or joint studio events. If a student wishes to take part in any outside performance, I kindly ask to be notified at least one month in advance so we can plan and prepare accordingly.
