- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my education in this trade has come from hands on experience over the past 30 years. I spent 20 years with the same company, where I worked my way up through different levels, gaining more responsibility and mastering various skills, from forming and pouring to finishing, cleanup, and operating various concrete machines. I also learned a lot working with family and friends, picking up new techniques and practical knowledge
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've spent 30 years in this line of work and 20 of those were with the same company. That gave me a strong foundation in all the areas of concrete work- very hung from forming and pouring to finishing and cleanup. I also had family and friend in the trade, so i was always around concrete jobs helping out, and leaning different techniques and staying hands on even outside of work. For the last year, i've been out on my own taking on my own jobs and building up my business and applying everything I've learned so far.
